Kayla Saager enters her first season as an assistant coach in 2020. Saager joins the Trojans after playing professionally for FC Slovacko Zeny in the Czech Republic. A native of East Islip, N.Y., Saager earned her degree in Sociology from Binghamton University in 2018. A former standout for the Bearcats, Saager transferred to Binghamton after a playing at NC State (2014) and West Virginia (2015). A member of the Mountaineers 2015 squad that advanced to the Elite Eight, Saager scored 28 goals in her four collegiate seasons, including 22 in a Binghamton uniform. Saager was named the 2017 America East Striker of the Year after scoring 11 goals and tallying seven assists, and is second all-time in goals per game (0.59) and points per game (1.51) in Binghamton history. The former striker and two-time All-region selection, will be responsible for a Trojans attack that scored 41 total goals (second-most in school history) and a Sun-Belt best 22 goals in conference play in 2019.
