Madeline Porter begins her first season as a member of the Troy softball staff as the Trojan’s volunteer assistant.
The Birmingham, Alabama native, began her playing career at Ball State University before transferring to Troy where she played three seasons with the Trojans.
Porter joins the staff following a standout performance her senior year where she led the team in total plate appearances, walks and runs scored. The third baseman batted a .272 clip with 27 doubles, a triple, seven home runs and 71 RBI over her three years as a Trojan.
In her time at Oak Mountain High School, Porter was a three-time member of the Over the Mountain team and was a member of the 2012 Hoover All-Tournament team.
Porter graduated in December 2019 with a B.S. in physical education.
