Jake Tucker begins his first season as an assistant coach for Troy golf following a four-year standout playing career for the Trojans where he was a two-time All-Sun Belt Conference selection.

Tucker was named to the All-Sun Belt Second Team following his senior year with the Trojans after he led the team with nine rounds under par and finished second with a 73.22 stroke average. He played a vital role in Troy’s at-large berth into the NCAA Regionals with a team-high seven top-25 finishes over the course of the season.

The native of Cullman, Ala., played in the 2013 U.S. Amateur Championship after winning the only qualifier in the state of Alabama. As a sophomore, Tucker earned All-Sun Belt Second Team honors after closing out the season as Troy’s top finisher in five of the final six events, including a tie for seventh place at the Sun Belt Championship.

Tucker received his bachelor’s degree in sport and fitness management from Troy in 2015 and is currently playing professionally on the Swing Thought Tour.
