Jackson Cofer begins his first season as director of operations for Troy baseball. Before being promoted to his current role, Cofer spent four years with the Trojans, two as a player and two as an operations assistant.
The Alabaster, Ala. native spent the 2017 and 2018 seasons with Troy as a pitcher and as the designated hitter. As a junior, Cofer hit the eventual game-winning, three-run home run in the fifth inning of Troy’s win over No. 5 Auburn and walked-off ULM in game two of the conference series with a two-run homer over the Riddle-Pace Monster.
Cofer was part of the 2018 team that played in the Athens regional and finished 42-21. On the mound, ended his career with a 2.81 ERA and 34 strikeouts compared to just eight walks in 32 innings pitched.
Prior to Troy, Cofer spent two seasons at Marion Military Institute where he earned his associates in science degree.
Cofer has earned two degrees from Troy University, a masters in business administration (2020) and a bachelors in hospitality, sport, and tourism management (2018).
