2010 Summer Select Camp
Wednesday-Friday, June 9-11, 2010
The Troy University Summer Select Camp will provide a sound learning environment for each player. Campers will receive instruction from the Troy coaching staff, junior college coaches, top area high school coaches, and current and former Troy players. Instruction will include fundamental drills, proper practice techniques, and game situations. Specific instruction will be given in each of the following areas:
- Hitting
- Fielding
- Base Running
- Academics
- Pitching
- Throwing
- Strength Training
- Recruiting
- Catching
- Specific Positions
- Flexibility

2010 Summer Instructional Showcase

The Troy University Instructional Showcase offers instruction in the areas of physical tool/skill development and evaluation of individual players' skill level as it pertains to being a Division I level athlete. The showcase offers the opportunity to go through a professional-style workout to showcase the players' talent and ability to the Troy coaches and other coaches in attendance. Skill evaluation will be based on the following areas:
- 60-yard sprint time
- Defensive skill
- Pitching mechanics
- Strength training
- Arm strength
- Hitting ability
- Radar speed
- Arm accuracy
- Raw power in bat
- Command of pitches
The Troy Baseball Camp and the Troy Instructional Showcase are limited to the first 96 paid applicants. The registration deadline is 5 p.m. on Monday, June 7, 2010.
Players may elect to attend the Troy University Summer Select Camp and Instructional Showcase as an overnight camper or as a commuter. Players may elect to attend only the select camp as an overnight camper or as a commuter. Also, players may elect to attend only the Instructional Showcase as a commuter for the opportunity to be evaluated by the coaching staff.
The various options are in place for the individual player to choose what best fits his desire or needs. Troy Baseball wants every amateur player to get the instruction, skill development and evaluation they need to continue improving their game in order to reach their goals in baseball.

Trojan Softball Camps (2010 Camp Information)
The Trojans will hold a hitting camp for girls ages 8-18 on June 14 and July 18 at the Trojan Softball Complex. Cost is $75.00 per person and includes a free T-shirt and lunch. The Trojans will also hold a pitching and catching camp on June 15 and July 16 at the Trojan Softball Complex. Cost is also $75.00 and includes a free T-shirt and lunch.
The Trojans will also hold a youth camp for children ages 8-12 from June 21-23 at the Trojan Softball Complex. Cost is $200.00 per camper.
A team camp will be held July 17 at the Troy Sportsplex. Cost is $150.00 per team.
Also a general skills overnight camp will also be held on July 18-20 at the Trojan Softball Complex. Cost for this camp is $250.00 per camper.

Trojan Men's Basketball Camp (2010 Camp Information)
The Troy Men’s Basketball program will host two camps during the month of June. A team camp will be held on June 18-19, while a youth day camp will be hosted from June 14-17.
The Troy University men's basketball program will hold its annual team camp in Trojan Arena beginning on June 18 and concluding the following day on June 19. The camp is open to all varsity, junior varsity and middle school teams. Commuting teams can register for just $600 for the first team and $500 for additional teams. The cost for overnight teams is $200 plus $100 per camper, with a minimum of eight players per team. Each team at the camp is guaranteed seven games. Additionally, the men's basketball program will again host a youth day camp from June 14-17 from 8 am to 12 pm for boys and girls ages 6-15. The camp will be directed by Troy assistant coach Ben Fletcher with Troy University players assisting. Other members of the Troy coaching staff will make appearances each day.
The location of the camp will be the Troy Rec Center on the campus of the university, located on Elm Street. The staff will utilize eight-foot goals for the younger kids and regulation goals for the older kids. Camp staff will be at the gymnasium at 7:30 am each day for parents who need to bring their children early. The cost of the camp is $60.00 per camper, which includes a camp t-shirt. Trojan Football Camps (2010 Information)
The Troy University football program will hold two different types of camps this upcoming summer, beginning with two College Prep Camp™ on June 18 and July 23. The College Prep Camp™ is for 2011 juniors and seniors. Visit www.troytrojans.com to register for the camp or contact the football office for a brochure.
The second type of camp the Trojans will host is The System Camp™ taking place on two different occasions over the summer. The first camp takes place from June 13-15, followed by another a camp from June 20-22. The camps are for 2011 freshmen through seniors. Please visit www.thesystemcamps.com for registration.

Trojan Women's Basketball Team Camp (2009 Camp Information)
The Troy University Women's Basketball Team Camp is scheduled for June 25-27 at Trojan Arena and is open to all high school teams. The team fee is $200 and the fee for each player is $165 for overnight campers and $135 for day campers. High School coaches receive a $200 stipend for coaching their own team at the camp. A flat fee is also available for teams to attend the camp. The team fee of $600 does not include housing, meals or a coaches stipend. Trojan Soccer Camps (2010 Camp Information)
The Troy University Women’s Soccer Program offers two soccer camps during the summer and is also offering five junior day camps in 2010:
Girls Elite Academy (Ages 14-18): The goal of the Troy University Girls Elite Soccer Academy is to provide an opportunity for elite high school aged girls to train in an environment that will prepare them for the next level. Academy players will be challenged both technically and tactically and have an opportunity to compete in game situations. The academy experience will not be limited to on-field opportunities as the players will have an opportunity to discuss the recruiting process and the experience of being a student-athlete. We will limit enrollment to insure that our staff is working directly with all players.
Boys & Girls Development Academy (Ages 5-10): The development academy is designed to be challenging and competitive in a fun environment. Academy players will be divided into groups based on age and ability. Appropriate drills/games will be implemented to create a comfortable learning environment for each group. Fundamental skills will be taught to all ages, and basic to advanced tactics will be included for different group levels. Pre-registration is requested by May 31. If you choose to pay on first day of camp, payment must be CASH ONLY.
2010 Junior Day Camp (High school aged players): The goal of the Troy University Junior Day Camp is to provide an opportunity for high school aged players to train in a competitive environment that will prepare them for college soccer. Players will be challenged both technically and tactically and will have an opportunity to compete in game situations with injury prevention as an element of the training warm-up. The junior day experience will include a campus tour, a compliance presentation, and an in-depth look at Troy University and what we have available to our student-athletes. The coaching staff will include Troy University’s coaching staff as well as current Troy University players as our demonstrators. Trojan Volleyball Camps (2010 Camp Information)
The Troy University Volleyball team will host day camps for setters, hitters and liberos July 13-15. The Setter Day Camp will take place July 13 at a cost of $75, while the Hitter Day Camp will take place July 14 at a cost of $75, and the Libero Day Camp will take place July 15 at a cost of $75. The Troy Volleyball first Team Camp is scheduled for July 19-21 at Trojan Arena. The camp is open to high school varsity and junior varsity teams and guarantees each team at least 24 hours of gym time. The cost for the camp is $300 per player for overnight campers and $200 per player for day campers. An Individual Camp will be held in conjunction with the Troy Volleyball second Team Camp is also scheduled for July 22-24 with the cost of $300 for overnight campers and $200 for day campers. KPS Kicking Camps (2010 Camp Information)
Troy University's campus will host KPS (Kicking, Punting, Snapping) Camp on June 12, 2010 at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
Former Troy great and All-Sun Belt Conference performer Greg Whibbs will serve as a kicking instructor. Also joining him will be fellow Troy football alumni Derrick Thomas and Adrian Vera.
The camp will begin at 8 am on June 12 and run until 6:30 pm. Included in the day will be one-on-one sessions with instructors as well as competitions and a seminar on the NCAA Eligibility Center and recruiting.
