Trojan Radio Network
The ISP Troy University Network brings Trojan football to Troy followers around the world.
Trojan football is distributed to more than 15 radio stations throughout Alabama and is anchored by the 25,000-watt flagship station WTBF-FM in Troy.
The ISP Troy Network is one of the most diverse and progressive college radio networks in the nation, utilizing satellite technology to originate each of its football broadcasts. Overall, the network broadcasts more than 100 live events each year, including men’s basketball, women’s basketball, baseball and softball. In addition, network programming also includes a weekly talk show, “Trojan Talk,” which promotes Troy sports.

The football radio crew consists of three personalities encompassing play-by-play, color analysis and sideline commentary.
Barry McKnight is also returning as the host of Coach Blakeney’s weekly television show. McKnight is beginning his fifth season as the play-by-play “Voice of the Trojans.” It is also his second year as the host of the “Troy Football Review” television show with head coach Larry Blakeney.
A veteran of the broadcast industry, McKnight also serves as the co-host of a sports talk radio show on WMSP-AM 740 in Montgomery, where he has worked for parts of the last eight years. He also works in television broadcasting, where he served as the primary play-by-play announcer for College Sports Southeast’s football, basketball and baseball coverage from 1997-2001. He is seen regularly on Comcast-Charter Sports Southeast working selected events during basketball season.
A nine-time winner of Associated Press awards for broadcast excellence, McKnight is a member of the American Sportscasters Association and National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association.
Jerry Miller is entering his 14th year with the Troy Network but his third in the booth as the network’s color analyst. For his first 10 years, Miller provided interviews, insight and analysis from a unique perspective on the sideline, where he became a fan favorite and a trusted resource for Trojan listeners.
A Troy alum and longtime supporter of the athletic program, Miller also serves as the color analyst on home Trojan basketball and baseball games in addition to his work covering numerous local high school events on both television and radio broadcasts.
He is the City President of First National Bank in Troy. Miller and his wife, Jamie, have two daughters, Kelly and Jessica. Kelly is a softball player at Faulkner University in Montgomery.
Chris Blackshear is in his second season with the Troy ISP Network. Blackshear will work the sidelines for Trojans games and provide post game interviews.
Blackshear provided broadcast coverage of Central High School football in Phenix City from 1993-2002. He served as the play-by-play announcer for the WCGT-TV16 High School Football Game of the Week from 2002-2004 and was part of the Columbus Wardgos AF2 broadcast team in 2004 where hosted the weekly coaches radio and TV shows.
Blackshear has been a part of the Super Six television network broadcasting crew since 2001 and he resides in Phenix City.
