Started 36 games at second base and appeared in 51 in his first season as Trojan … Opened series against FIU with a three-run homer and RBI double in first two at-bats; finished 5-for-12 in the series … Hit first career home run and scored twice against Texas Tech in the Wawa Classic … Finished 6-for-11 with four runs, a pair of two-baggers and three RBIs … Was 2-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and RBI in a midweek win over Auburn… Hit safely in 23-of-42 starts and reached base safely in 26-of-42 starts … Recorded 11 multi-hit games and four multi-RBI games

Began his collegiate career at Mississippi State before transferring to Meridian Community College for his freshman season and Central Alabama Community College for his sophomore season … Earned second team all-state and first team all-conference honors at Central Alabama after he hit .365 with 71 hits, 15 doubles, two triples and 35 RBIs … Had a .459 on-base percentage and .462 slugging percentage … Led the Trojans in batting average, hits, doubles, total bases and slugging percentage … Helped the Trojans set the school record with 18 straight victories and finish the year with a 42-13 record
