Troy Track & Field Rewrites Indoor Record Book in 2026

Troy, Ala. – Troy Track & Field concluded the 2026 indoor season with 10 new school records in seven events.
Faith Jones led the way during the indoor campaign, running a blazing 8.32 in the 60-meter hurdles at the Sun Belt Conference Indoor Championships to win gold and shatter the previous record.
Rachel Whyte, a transfer from Chicago State, made an immediate impact for the Trojans, setting a new 300-meter record with a time of 38.57 at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational. She also etched her name into the program's top three in the women's 200 meters (24.20) and the 60 meters (7.50).
Whyte also led the way for a record-setting 4x400 meter relay alongside Aaliyah Murphy, Haley Wilson, and Kady Schwietz as the quartet posted a program-best 3:42.72 at the Music City Challenge.
On the men's side, Ethan Forbes opened the season by breaking the 800-meter record at back-to-back meets, running a 1:52.96 at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational to surpass Chance Armstrong (1:53.66) on the all-time list. Forbes would then shatter his own record a week later at the Orange and Purple Invitational in 1:50.11.
Jonas Koturenka also set a new school record at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational, breaking his own school record in the 1,000 meters with a time of 2:25.35.
Benjamin Jaudon set a program record in the men's 60-meter hurdles clocking a 7.90 at the Music City Challenge, which also qualified him for USATF Indoor Track and Field Nationals. Antonio Blair also posted a program-best time in the men's 600 meters, running a 1:17.29 at the Music City Challenge.
The 4x400 team of Romario Taylor, Devyn Pearman, Dawson Isbell and Antonio Blair broke the school record at the Music City Challenge, clocking a 3:13.04.
Lane Watson set a school record in the 5,000 meters with a time of 15:17.10 at the Bob Pollock Invitational, while Patterson Graham established a new mark in the mile, running a 4:22.28, also at the Bob Pollock Invitational.
