Women's Golf Wraps Round Two of Florida State Match Up

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Troy dropped a couple spots on the leaderboard into 11th place following Saturday's second record of the Florida State Match Up at the Seminole Legacy Golf Course. Constanza Quiroga took over the top line for Troy, carding a trio of birdies to move into a tie for 28th place.

Florida State took over the top spot on the leaderboard, shooting 9-under on the day to grab a 13-shot advantage over Tulsa, while Eastern Michigan, Alabama and North Florida round out the top five. Troy is a shot back of Mercer for 10th place and 13 back of FIU.

Quiroga birdied both par-5 holes on the front nine and added a third on the par-4 16th as she shot 77 on the day, tied with Laura Fangmeyer for Troy's best round of the day. Fangmeyer birdied the par-4 second for her lone under-par hole of the second round; she is tied for 49th place.

Troy's day one leader Manya Saini slipped into a tie for 30th place after shooting 7-over, with an eagle on the 505-yard, par-5 fourth. Evelyn Tankersley sits in a tie for 64th place after shooting 83 on Saturday, while Victoria Stutts is tied for 68th following an 80 on day two.

Troy will play Sunday's final round with Mercer and Murray State beginning at 8:30 a.m., starting on the back nine.
