Women’s Basketball Faces Arkansas State in Pivotal League Matchup

TROY, Ala. – The Troy women's basketball team enters the final week of the regular season with a pivotal Sun Belt Conference game on Tuesday, Feb. 24, at 5 p.m. against Arkansas State in the First National Bank Arena.
Tuesday night sees two of the five teams with a chance at a bid to the semifinals and the regular season title face off in the Trojans (23-5, 14-2 SBC) and Red Wolves (22-7, 13-3 SBC). The Trojans enter on an eight-game win streak in conference play, while the Red Wolves have won two straight.

Troy's won eight straight league games to sit tied for first in the conference standings. If they win out, the Trojans will secure a share of the regular-season title for the fourth time, and first since 2022. They've already secured a top-4 seed with the win on Saturday for head coach Chanda Rigby's 12th straight season and a 20-plus win season for the 10th time and third straight.
They closed out their home schedule at 13-1 with a pair of double-digit wins over South Alabama and Southern Miss. In the victory over Southern Miss, Zay Dyer had her second career 20-20 game with 21 points and 20 rebounds. Dyer continues to lead the nation with 20 double-doubles, with 12 straight. She also leads the SBC in double-doubles (20), rebounds (365), defensive rebounds per game (8.2), offensive rebounds (4.8) and rebounds per game (13.0).
