Women’s Basketball Continues Homestand Against ULM

TROY, Ala. – Fresh off a historic win over Louisiana on Thursday night, the Troy women's basketball team turns to ULM in Trojan Arena on Saturday at 1 p.m. for game two of its four-game homestand.
The win over the Ragin' Cajuns put the Trojans (20-5, 11-2 SBC) in a three-way tie for the No. 1 spot in the Sun Belt Conference. Meanwhile, the Warhawks (13-12, 6-8 SBC) ride a four-game win streak, rising to eighth in the league.

Thursday night was a historic night in Trojan Arena as the Trojans beat Louisiana 71-55. The win marked No. 275 for head coach Chanda Rigby, who became the winningest coach in program history, passing Joyce Sorrell. The victory also marked win No. 20 for the Trojans this season, marking Rigby's 10th 20-plus win season for the program – it marked the third straight 20-plus win season.
Zay Dyer also had a historic night. With the absence of Fortuna Ngnawo, Dyer erupted with 25 rebounds for the Troy Division-I single-game record – her 25 rebounds tied the Sun Belt Conference single-game record. She remained atop the nation with her ninth straight and 17th overall double-double on a team-high 18 points. Dyer remains atop the SBC with her 17 double-doubles, 320 rebounds, 8.2 defensive rebounds, 4.6 offensive rebounds and 12.8 rebounds per game. The senior forward moved to 21st at Troy for points at 1,088.
The Trojans beat ULM earlier this season 86-80 in the Fant-Ewing Coliseum. Troy's won 10 straight in Trojan Arena over ULM and sits 11-5 at home. When these programs faced off on Jan. 14, 2026, Dyer had a 24-point, 13-rebound performance, followed by Ashley Baez hitting critical free throws for 15 points, four steals and five assists.

ULM has won four straight over App State, Georgia State, Buffalo and Southern Miss to rise to the No. 8 spot in the SBC. On Thursday night, the Warhawks dominated Southern Miss 85-62 behind a 22-point performance from Jazmine Jackson. Jackson has come off the bench in nine of her 14 SBC games for nine points per game. Nikiyah Mays-Prince leads ULM in league play with 13 points and two steals, while Marcavia Shavers averages a double-double on 11.1 points and 10.9 rebounds.
