Men’s Tennis Clinches Wins Against Coastal Alabama and Spring Hill

TROY, Ala. - Continuing to dominate in the doubles matches, Troy men's tennis clinched victory against Coastal Alabama, 7-0, before repeating that momentum against Spring Hill, 6-1, on Wednesday.
Troy (7-3) claimed the advantage early in doubles point against Coastal Alabama (5-3), with sophomore Thiago Drozdowski and freshman Stephan Tavares Noale winning on Court 1, 6-2, while junior Louis Boilevin and sophomore Hiiro Sakamoto won on Court 3, 6-0.
The singles matches then saw the Trojans winning each of their courts against the Coyotes with finished matches.
Spring Hill (0-2) had the same outcome as Coastal Alabama when it came to the doubles matches, losing its advantage to Troy.
Troy continued its lead in singles for the second time in the day, with Drozdowski, Boilevin and freshman Ryusei Miyazato finishing their courts in wins first. The Badgers added one point to the board after senior Tom Gutermann won on Court 1 against freshman Ausias Martin Melo. However, this was not enough to keep the Trojans from success.
Troy has a couple of days to practice before heading on the road for its next matchup against Jacksonville State Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.
