TROY, Ala. – Coming off its biggest victory of the season, Troy hosts Louisiana Tech for Homecoming at The Vet. The first-ever meeting between the Trojans and Bulldogs kicks off at 3 p.m.
Troy (4-4, 2-2 SBC) went on the road last Thursday to defeat James Madison in a rematch of the 2025 Sun Belt Conference Championship Game, snapping the Dukes' 11-game home winning streak.
The Trojans rallied from a 14-point deficit at halftime, sparked by three interceptions – one returned for a touchdown – and two key pass break ups by fifth-year safety Justin Powe, who would go on to sweep all of the national and conference defensive player of the week awards.
Hayden Wolfe booted a 27-yard field goal in overtime after the Trojans held the Dukes scoreless on their overtime possession to secure the win.
Troy is 3-1 at home this season but is looking to bounce back from a tough loss its last time in The Vet, when the Trojans surrendered 21 points over the final 2:34 as ULM came back from a 14-3 deficit and stunned Troy.
Louisiana Tech (6-2, 4-0) has won five straight games since dropping consecutive contests to LSU and Baylor in mid-September. The Bulldogs' winning streak is tied for the eighth-longest active streak, and their six-game conference winning streak (dating back to C-USA last year) ranks sixth.
Quarterback Blake Baker has thrown 13 touchdown passes and just one interception, leading the La Tech offense, while Alonzo Jackson Jr. is tied with Troy's Donnie Smith for the league lead with seven sacks.
