Troy Women’s Golf Wraps Round Two at Golfweek Fall Challenge

PAWLEY'S ISLAND, S.C. – The Troy women's golf team closed out its first 36 holes of the Golfweek Fall Challenge on Monday with a two-day total of 599, good for a tie for 15th place heading into Tuesday's final round at Caledonia Golf & Fish Club. The Trojans combined for 19 birdies over the opening two rounds, highlighted by Mathilda Ringblom's red figures on both days.

Ringblom is the clubhouse leader for Troy, sitting in a tie for 21^st place at 3-over par, after shooting a 1-under 70 in Sunday's opening round. She carded a pair of birdies and just one bogey on Sunday for her first career round in the red. Ringblom followed with two more birdies on Monday as she shot 4-over.

Charlotte holds a commanding team lead following 36 holes, besting Coastal Carolina by 14 shots, while UNCW, Arkansas State and High Point round out the top five. Troy sits in a four-way tie for 15^th place at 31-over after posting a 26-over round as a team on Monday.

Katelynn Altese is Troy's No. 2 bag following two rounds at 8-over, following a 77 on Monday in which she carded a pair of birdies, following a 73 in the opener with a team-best four birdies, while Manya Saini is a shot back in a tie for 66^th place at 9-over.

True freshman Constanza Quiroga started strong, shooting 1-over in Sunday's opening round, with a trio of birdies, but ran into trouble on Monday. She carded four birdies on the day, but posted four holes with a double or worse to finish the round tied for 76^th place, while Laura Fangmeyer is tied for 90^th.

Troy will tee it up Tuesday at 6:40 a.m. (CT) along with Lipscomb, East Tennessee and Delaware in the final round.
