TROY, Ala. – Troy head coach Gerad Parker, quarterback Goose Crowder and spear Devin Lafayette will represent the Trojans at Sun Belt Football Media Day, which gets underway Tuesday with the SBC West Division at the New Orleans Marriott Warehouse Arts District hotel.Â
Â
The Sun Belt will provide live coverage from the main stage throughout the day on ESPN+ and broadcast a live studio show hosted by Matt Stewart and Rocky Boiman on ESPN+. The main stage broadcast begins at 10 a.m., with the studio show airing at 9:30 a.m. and restarting at 1:30 p.m.
Â
Troy is scheduled to hit the main stage at 1:30 p.m. after visiting the Sun Belt Studio at 10:30 a.m. In between, Parker, Crowder, and Lafayette will participate in at least 11 additional interview sessions, in addition to photo and video shoots. Troy Football will have complete coverage on all its social media accounts.
Â
Crowder returns as Troy's starter after missing the bulk of 2024 due to injury. The redshirt-junior saw action in just 11 quarters last season but showed promise, completing 43-of-62 passes for 542 yards and five touchdowns without an interception. Crowder also rushed for a touchdown and finished with positive yards on the ground in three of his four games.
Â
Lafayette made an immediate impact in his first season after transferring from Northern Illinois. Just three years removed from a devastating injury, Lafayette earned All-Sun Belt honors after finishing the year as the Trojans' top-ranked defender per Pro Football Focus. He finished with 51 tackles, six tackles for loss and a forced fumble from his spear position.
Â
Troy players report back to campus on July 29, and the Trojans open fall camp on July 30.
