TROY, Ala. – Incoming Troy freshman golfer Landon Noble fired a 12-under to capture the individual title at the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) Huntsville Junior, which concluded Thursday at Huntsville Country Club.
Noble, a native of Sharpsburg, Ga., and a product of Northgate High School, entered the final round tied for the lead with Cullman's Rawlin Sutter, but pulled away with a flawless 5-under 66, carding five birdies and no bogeys to secure a two-shot victory.
He opened the tournament with a 1-under 70 on Tuesday, a round that featured four bogeys, three birdies, and an eagle. Noble found his rhythm in round two, recording just one bogey along with five birdies and an eagle for a 6-under 65.
A standout during his junior career, Noble was ranked as high as No. 70 in the Rolex AJGA Boys Rankings and No. 118 in the Junior Golf Scoreboard. He capped off his high school career with a runner-up finish at the 2024 Georgia State Championship.
Noble joins a Troy men's golf program riding a wave of momentum after earning the program's first-ever NCAA Championship berth, following a fourth-place finish at the NCAA Urbana Regional this past spring.
