2025 Troy SBC Tournament Games & Fan Headquarters Announced

TROY, Ala. – The 2024-25 Troy basketball seasons culminate when both teams battle in the Bay Center in Pensacola, Fla., for their respective Sun Belt Conference Tournaments. After clinching a share of the regular season title, the men open the run for a title at 8 p.m., while the women play at 2:30 p.m. as the No. 3 seed – both games are on Saturday, March 8.
Under head coach Scott Cross, Troy men's basketball earned its first regular season conference championship since 2009-10 on a fourth consecutive 20-plus win season. The Trojans have won double-digit conference games in last the four seasons as Tayton Conerway led the team with 13.7 points, including 16 per game during league play. The senior guard also set the pace in Troy program history with 91 steals, which is fourth in SBC single-season history.
The Troy women's basketball team enters as the No. 3 seed for the fourth time in head coach Chanda Rigby's tenure. It's also the eighth time in the last 10 seasons Troy's entered as a top three seed and 10th straight year in the top four. Troy dominated the court as the nation's leader in rebounding with 49 per game, with the league's leader in rebounds (10.5) and double-doubles (14), Zay Dyer.
Troy fans will have the incredible opportunity to head to Pensacola and cheer on both teams with numerous fan events. The day starts on Saturday, March 8, when the Troy Fan Social happens in The Fish House, located at 600 S. Barracks St., Pensacola, Fla., from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. to prepare for the women's quarterfinal matchup at 2:30 p.m. While there, fans can enjoy complimentary refreshments with an available cash bar. There will also be an opportunity to meet, gather and hear from members of Troy athletics and the Troy University Alumni Association before the games.
The day continues from 5 – 7 p.m. with the Troy Fan Headquarters, which has changed to the Emerald Republic Brewery. Located at 1414 W Government St, Pensacola, Fla., the fan headquarters event will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. as a postgame hub for the women's game and preparation for the men's quarterfinal round at 8 p.m. Food and drinks will be available for purchase within the reserved area for all Trojan fans.
Both teams compete for a spot in the semifinals as the women await the winner of game six and App State on Saturday, March 8, at 2:30 p.m. to play Arkansas State. Meanwhile, the men look to the winner of game six and App State for its game on Saturday, March 8, at 8 p.m. – the winner plays James Madison in the semifinals.
