Troy Baseball Heads to Rickwood Field for Fall Exhibition with Samford

TROY, Ala. – Troy Baseball continues its fall slate Sunday with a trip to historic Rickwood Field in Birmingham, Ala, for an exhibition with Samford.
The visit marks Troy's second appearance at America's oldest ballpark after the Trojans routed UAB 14-2 at Rickwood Field this past spring behind a perfect 4-for-4 performance by Gavin Schrader and three hits from Houston Markham.
The Trojans carried that same offensive firepower into their first fall exhibition on October 25 at Kennesaw State, where they launched nine home runs across the doubleheader. Senior Blake Cavill and redshirt freshman Ty McGraw each went deep twice, while transfers Tommy Egan and Lucas Litteral were among many standouts on the mound, striking out the side in their respective innings of work.
First pitch of Sunday's doubleheader against the Bulldogs is set for 11 a.m., with game two scheduled to begin approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one. Tickets are available at GoFan.co.
Troy will close out its fall season with the annual Trojan Bowl intrasquad game on November 14 at Riddle-Pace Field.
