TROY, Ala. – The Troy softball team closed its fall ball season with a win over Coastal Alabama on Wednesday night to remain undefeated. The Trojans got valuable experience across eight games, incorporating 12 newcomers to the squad.
"We put a cherry on top of the fall season, now it's time to work towards the spring even more," said head coach Eric Newell. "It's neat to see the buy-in from everybody and see them pull for one another. It's been exciting to see all the success we've had this fall."

Against the Coyotes on Wednesday, the Trojans secured a 25-0 win, swatting five homers in the process. Sophia Jenkins crushed two home runs, with Lydia Kirby, Ella Cunningham and Kam Munson also sending one over the wall.

From the circle, the Troy pitching staff earned the shutout behind three strong outings. Savannah Money started the game, punching out five batters in five innings. Esmee Ames logged seven strikeouts across four innings of work, allowing just one hit before Mya Holt closed it out with a scoreless inning.

After beating Georgia Tech 12-7 in the opening game of the fall, the Trojans earned seven straight victories – Troy outscored its opponents 116-20 in the fall.

Against the Yellow Jackets and a variety of schools from around the region, the Trojans showcased a new-look roster. Cunningham, Emma Banks and Abby Lovell came in to bolster the pitching staff.

In the field, the Trojans added a large transfer class including Jenkins, Kirby, Munson, Kalee Rochinski, Kyye Ricks, Amity White and Kiley Huffman. Freshmen Presley Ivey and Jasmine Lawrence also saw significant playing time in the fall.

After returning just eight players, Troy will head into 2026 looking to build on a 33-win season.
