TROY, Ala. - The 2026 Troy Baseball Team announced its fall schedule on Tuesday, featuring exhibitions against Kennesaw State and Samford.
The Trojans will make the trip to Kennesaw, Ga., to face the Owls on Saturday, October 25, at noon ET. The matchup will feature the first game played in Kennesaw State's brand-new Mickey Dunn Stadium.
On Sunday, November 9, Troy returns to historic Rickwood Field in Birmingham, Ala., to take on Samford at 11 a.m. CT. The Trojans had the opportunity to play at the oldest professional ballpark in the country this past season, defeating UAB 14-3 on March 18. Â
"Being able to play two outside fall games is a great thing that the NCAA has allowed," head coach Skylar Meade said. "Being a part of opening Kennesaw State's new stadium on October 25th and then heading back to historic Rickwood Field on November 9th to play Samford, we will play a lot of innings on those days to see the continued development of our arms against new hitters, and we will see if we can play clean baseball in a foreign environment defensively."
Admission to Troy's matchup at Kennesaw State is free, while ticketing information for the matchup with Samford will be announced at a later date.Â
Additionally, Troy's series of fall intrasquad games has already begun. All intrasquad games at Riddle-Pace Field are open to the public, with game dates and times being posted to Troy Baseball's Instagram and X pages each week.
The Trojans are coming off a 39-21 season that saw them reach a No. 14 national ranking by Baseball America, the highest in program history. Troy returns 14 players from that squad, including key starters Blake Cavill, Steven Meier, Sean Darnell and Jimmy Janicki.Â
Meade and staff also reloaded with 13 additions through the transfer portal - the No. 19 transfer class in the country according to 64Analytics - to go along with six junior college transfers and five freshmen.
