Softball Closes out Fall Ball Schedule with Coastal Alabama

TROY, Ala. – The Troy softball team welcomes Coastal Alabama to the Troy Softball Complex on Wednesday to finish out its 2025 fall ball slate. The Trojans have scored 91 runs in seven games this fall and look to add on against the Coyotes.

"We're just trying to take advantage of the opportunities that we have," said head coach Eric Newell. "These opportunities against other teams are limited in nature, so let's use these at-bats to get better and keep progressing."

Columbus State Recap
Against Columbus State on Friday, the Trojans earned an 18-2 win. Freshman pitcher Abby Lovell shoved against her hometown team, firing five scoreless innings and striking out six.

Troy's offense tallied 19 hits in the contest, blending speed and power to push across 18 runs in nine innings. Sohpia Jenkins and Ella Cunningham each clobbered home runs, while five Trojans hit doubles. Troy earned six steals and added plenty of infield hits to keep the line moving.
