Stutts, Quiroga Lead Women’s Golf on Opening Day of Lady Red Wolves Fall Classic

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Led by Victoria Stutts and Constanza Quiroga, the Troy women's golf team is in seventh place following Monday's opening two rounds of the Lady Red Wolves Fall Classic at the Sage Meadows Country Club.

The pair is tied for eighth place individually at 3-under after Quiroga carded nine birdies, tied for the fifth most in the field, while Stutts had six birdies and just three bogeys on the day. Quiroga shot 1-under in the morning session and followed with a 2-under 70 in the second round, while Stutts was even in the first round before firing a 69 in the afternoon.

Troy carded 30 birdies as a team, the second most in the field behind ULM's 33, and shot 12-over as a team with rounds of 10-over in the morning and 2-over in the afternoon. ULM holds a commanding 12-shot lead over Little Rock after the Warhawks shot 17-under as a team. Troy is 11 shots back of Morehead State for fourth.

Making her collegiate debut, Evelyn Tankersley holds Troy's No. 3 bag after shooting 6-over on the day, including a strong 2-over, with three birdies in the second round; she is in 53^rd place. Katelynn Altese is in 84^thplace at 12-over and Mathilda Ringblom is in 101^st place after finishing the day at 21-over.
