TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Troy men's tennis secured a massive win at the ITA Southern Regional on Sunday, as Luciano Alcocer and Yeray Andres Pastor upset Auburn's Billy and Freddy Blaydes. The Trojans moved into the semifinals with wins over Auburn and Louisiana.

The Trojans secured a huge 8-3 win over the Tigers -- who were the No. 1 overall seed in the draw -- to start the afternoon and advance to the quarterfinals.

In the quarterfinals, the team faced Sun Belt Conference foe Louisiana, with Mason Landreth and William Ribero also making a strong run. The Trojans breezed past the Ragin' Cajuns in an 8-1 match.

The Trojans are set to play in the semifinals on Monday, where they'll take on an SEC foe in Alabama's Jacob Olar and Andrii Zimnokh. It's the first time Troy has put a player or doubles pairing into the regional semifinals under head coach Rolando Vargas.
