No End in Sight
In Troy's five-game win streak, it has shot above 40 percent, scored more than 80 points, allowed less than 40 percent shooting and outrebounded the opposition in each. The streak included a 99-60 beating on Troy's in-state rival South Alabama, where the program set season-highs in free throw percentage (90) and 3-point percentage (50). Add 45.9 percent from the field, and 21 forced turnovers, and the Trojans walked away with their second 25-plus point victory.
Emani Jenkins had a career performance against the Jaguars, setting career-highs in points (19), rebounds (9), field goals made (7) and triples (4). She ended as the team's leading scorer and rebounder on 4-of-6 from deep and 7-of-11 overall. Ashley Baez matched Jenkins in scoring and 3-pointers as she finished with 19 points on 4-of-6 from behind the arc. The senior guard also set a career-high with eight rebounds. Briana Peguero rounded out the trio of guards with a 15-point, 5-assist, 4-steal performance.
Eleven of Troy's 13 triples came from the trio of Jenkins (4), Baez (4) and Peguero (3), but back-to-back Sun Belt Player of the Week Zay Dyer and Adriana Jones also added one to end with 13 total on 26 attempts. The 13 3-pointers marked the 10th time in head coach Chanda Rigby's tenure that Troy converted 13-plus triples and the first since Texas State on Feb. 28, 2019. Troy also shot 50 percent from deep for the first time since Louisiana (7-of-14) on Feb. 4, 2023. Overall, all 11 Trojans that checked in scored a bucket.
Since Shaulana Wagner's absence, Peguero has continued to fill the role of floor general, having three straight games with 5-plus assists (App State – 10, Georgia State – 7, South Alabama – 5). Before the three-game stretch, the Mercer transfer had never dished out more than four assists. She's also averaged 15.5 points over the last four games with 10 triples and no shooting performance below 40 percent.

Despite holding a 2-point lead with 1:52 remaining, a free throw and triple from Arkansas State with 0:05 on the clock cost them the game.
The Ragin' Cajuns have found an identity via defense and 3-pointers, leading the league in scoring defense on 60.2 points per game allowed while shooting 35.6 percent from deep. Louisiana's stayed consistent in those categories during league play as it sits at 34.6 percent from the 3-point arc and 60 points allowed through six conference games. They also have the individual leader in 3-point percentage, Erica Lafayette, who's shot 45.6 percent on 2.07 triples per game.
