Schwietz, Lockner Set to Compete at Samford Multi

TROY, Ala. - After a month-long break, the Troy Track & Field team's indoor season is set to resume this weekend at the Samford Multi in Birmingham, Ala., on Thursday and Friday with Sydney Lockner and Kady Schwietz competing in the pentathlon.

Consisting of the 800m, 60m hurdles, high jump, long jump and shot put, Schwietz finished second in the pentathlon at the Samford Multi last season with 3,543 points. Her performance included a personal record in the shot put (11.46m).

Lockner is coming off a strong performance at the Birmingham Indoor Icebreaker last month, which saw her finish 19th in the 800m (2:46.56) and 20th in the high jump (1.45m).

The remainder of the Troy team will head down to Gainesville, Fla., this weekend to compete in the Jimmy Carnes Invitational on Friday.
