Trojan Arena to Host WNIT Great 8 Matchup Against ULM

TROY, Ala. – Back-to-back WNIT wins over FIU and North Carolina A&T advanced the Troy women's basketball program to the Great 8 round, where it hosts Sun Belt foe ULM in Trojan Arena on Monday, April 1, at 6 p.m.
"We got a very good team in ULM coming to Trojan Arena," head coach Chanda Rigby said. "The winner gets into the 'Fab 4,' so we need Trojan fans to pack that arena and witness history. It almost feels like we can't lose when Trojan Arena is packed, and the fans are behind us."
The matchup on Monday marks the second WNIT matchup in Trojan Arena after hosting FIU last Monday. A crowd of 2,196 Trojan fans witnessed the women's basketball team claim its first-ever postseason victory, 92-62, over the Panthers.
Monday also marks the third meeting between Troy and ULM in 2023-24, with Troy claiming victory in both. Nia Daniel (22) and Tai'Sheka Porchia (20.5) led the Trojans in those matchups, averaging 20-plus points. Both games saw Troy obliterate the Warhawks 122-69 in the rebound game for a plus-26.5 margin.
