Troy Soccer Closes Season with 0-0 Draw Against Arkansas State

TROY, Ala. - The Troy soccer team finished its 2024 season on a positive note on Thursday as the Trojan defense had another clean sheet in a 0-0 draw with Arkansas State.Â
Troy has now recorded a shutout in back-to-back games, while goalkeeper Nittany Vega, who had three saves tonight, saved all six shots on goal that came her way in the past two matches. Â
While the Trojans didn't find the back of the net on Thursday, they weren't without opportunities as they recorded 17 shots and a season-high nine shots on goal. Jiselle Daniels led the team with five shots while Danielle Trovato picked up a career-high two shots on goal.Â
Before the match, Riley Rojahn, Olivia Simpson and Une Georgsen were honored on senior night while fifth-year seniors Gabrielle Chartier and Delaney Wells were also celebrated in a pre-game ceremony.Â
Troy finishes the 2024 campaign with a 5-10-2 record and a 1-8-1 Sun Belt record.Â
