TROY, Ala. – The Sun Belt Conference announced the 2023-24 men's basketball conference schedule on Wednesday morning. Troy will be hosting nine conference games at Trojan Arena, while also hitting the road for nine games.
"We are very excited about the Sun Belt Conference schedule as the league will be as good as it has ever been," head coach Scott Cross said. "The Sun Belt office did a fantastic job addressing the concerns of the coaches from the previous year. Our travel will be much easier this season, allowing every team in the Sun Belt to be at their competitive best for every single game."
The Trojans open conference play on Dec. 30, in Conway, S.C., against Coastal Carolina, before playing their conference home-opener against Old Dominion on Jan. 4.
Troy follows its home-opener with three straight games at Trojan Arena against Appalachian State (Jan 6.), the 2022-23 conference champions Louisiana (Jan. 10), before wrapping up its homestand against Southern Miss on Jan. 13.
The team heads to Mobile, Ala., to take on conference rival South Alabama on Jan 18., before heading north to face off against Southern Miss in Hattiesburg (Jan. 20).
Trojan Arena welcomes the team back home for a pair of contests against Texas State (Jan. 24) and South Alabama (Jan. 27).
Troy then makes its way east to the Peach State for a two-game road-trip against Georgia Southern (Feb. 1) and Georgia State (Feb. 3).
The Trojans open their final homestand of the season on Feb. 7 when they host Marshall, Arkansas State (Feb 15.) and ULM (Feb. 17).
The regular season comes to an end on a long road-trip spanning four games against Arkansas State (Feb. 22), ULM (Feb. 24), Louisiana (Feb. 28) and Texas State (March 1).
The Sun Belt Tournament heads back to Pensacola, Fla., for the fourth straight season. The tournament will be held from March 5-11 at the Pensacola Bay Center.
