TROY, Ala. – Another Sun Belt weekend sees Troy stay in the state of Alabama and travel to Mobile for a three-game series. Due to inclement weather projected for the Gulf Coast this weekend a doubleheader will be played on Friday, April 28, beginning at 2:30 pm and will play a single game on Sunday (April 30) at 1 pm. Fans not making the trip to Stanky Field can catch all three games on ESPN+ and on the Troy Sports Radio Network.
Troy will look to carry their momentum from their midweek win over Auburn and try to win their fourth consecutive Sun Belt Series. With the win over the Tigers, Troy (29-13) moves to No. 29 in the RPI, winning for the seventh time in the last nine games.
These two programs will meet for the 21st consecutive year, with Troy entering the series 43-53 all-time. Last year at Riddle-Pace Field, the Jaguars took two of three from the Trojans. Troy will be looking for their first win in Mobile since 2019.

In the Trojans' first win over Auburn since 2018, Shane Lewis hit his 19th home run of the season. His tally breaks the record for the most home runs by a Trojan in the BBCOR era – Trae Santos hit 18 during the 2013 season. Lewis enters the weekend tied for fifth nationally in home runs on the season.
With 76 home runs as a team, the 2023 Trojans are ninth all-time in Troy history and have hit the most home runs in a season since 2010, when that Troy team hit 100.
It's been five years since a Trojan hitter recorded more than 60 RBIs in a season when Joey Denison recorded 81 in 2018. With 63 on the season, Lewis is four away from entering the top ten for most in a single season in Troy's history.
Troy's pitching has been vital in the Trojans' success this season. With 444 total strikeouts, Troy ranks seventh in the country. As a staff, they average 11.0 strikeouts per nine innings which is 12th in the nation and well on pace to set a new program record.
