MACON, Ga. – A pair of Troy golfers are tied for sixth, and Troy is in third place following Monday's opening two rounds of the Brickyard Collegiate, held at the 6,171-yard Brickyard Golf Course.

The Trojans finished with 18 birdies on Monday's 36 holes, third-best in the field, led by six from ShaeLee Scarberry and four each from Katelynn Altese and Bruna Roqueta. Scarberry led the field, playing the par 3s to the tune of 3-under par on the day.

Scarberry and Alyssa Mercado are tied for sixth place individually at 8-over, while Altese is a shot behind in a tie for 11^th place. Mercado birdied No. 16 in both of her rounds, while Scarberry rebounded from a triple and a bogey to open her day and shoot just 2-over in the first round.

Troy shot 15-over par in the first round and followed with a 23-over in the second on a day where individual golfers posted an average round of 79.46. Host-Mercer leads by six shots over Incarnate Word, with Troy 10 shots back of the Cardinals in third.

Altese picked up three of her birdies in the second round, while Elisabeth Preus is tied for 22nd place at 13-over par, with three birdies on the day. Laura Fangmeyer rounds out the field for the Trojans in 35^th place at 19-over. Bruna Roqueta is tied for 25^th place, and Brinson Hall is tied for 38^th place, both playing as individuals.

Troy will play in the lead group for Tuesday's shotgun start, beginning at 8 a.m. (CT).
