The Trojans are coming off two midweek losses against FGCU, losing their first games of the season. The Knights enter the weekend 9-3 with two losses to fellow Sun Belt member Georgia Southern. Troy has an RPI of 31 thus far and has been as high as sixth in the country.
The Trojans' weekend rotation is starting to find its form, as Brady Fuller will get the start Friday. Fuller has a 2.76 ERA with 21 strikeouts and four walks on the season. Zach Fruit will follow on Saturday after earning his first win as a Trojan last week. Next, Grayson Stewart leads the Trojans in wins with three and an earned run average of 1.06. Stewart is coming off throwing a seven-inning complete game in which he shut out USC-Upstate. The Trojans are undefeated this season when each of them gets the start on the mound.
William Sullivan and Shane Lewis take a 13-on-base streak into the weekend. Both rank among the leaders in the Sun Belt Conference, as Sullivan is second in batting average (.438), and Lewis leads the league in RBIs (29). Lewis already has seven games recording multiple RBIs. Kole Myers brings a nine-game hitting streak into this series. The center fielder has started in all but one game this season.
Troy will look to capitalize with runners on base as they left a season-high 10 in their previous game against FGCU. They will also try and cut back on the walks, as they had a season-high 10 against the Eagles.
