Trojans Matchup with ULM for Conference Showdown

TROY, Ala. – Sun Belt Conference play comes to Riddle-Pace Field for the first time this season as the Trojans get set to host the ULM Warhawks for a three-game series beginning on Friday, March 24 at 6 p.m.
Troy and ULM will be looking for their first win in conference play, as both started 0-3 the first weekend. Troy has the edge in the overall series as Troy is 31-13 dating back to 2007. At home, the Trojans are 15-7, with the two teams meeting last season in Monroe with Troy sweeping the Warhawks.

The Trojans will look to put a winning streak together after beating Florida A&M in the midweek 10-0 in seven innings. The win ended a four-game losing streak prior. However, it's hard for opponents to beat Troy at home as they enter the weekend 12-3 at Riddle-Pace field.
Wednesday's contest saw Troy score 10 runs or more for the 19th time under head coach Skylar Meade going 19-0. Troy is 5-0 under Meade in conference play when Troy scores 10 or more runs.
Two of the country's top four home run hitters wear the cardinal and white as both Shane Lewis and William have hit 11 home runs on the season. Both will enter the weekend two home runs behind the national leader. Lewis has 35 RBIs on the season, which is second in the Sun Belt Conference and seventh in the country.
Sullivan has been hit by a pitch 11 times this season, ranking second most in the Sun Belt Conference. Sullivan, in total, has been hit by a pitch 10 times in his career, which already ranks second in Troy Baseball history.
Only two teams this season have turned more double plays than the Trojans, as Troy ranks third in the country, turning a total of 25 and averaging 1.19 per game also third in the country.
Brady Fuller will get his usual Friday start as he looks to bounce back after taking a loss in his last outing. Fuller's 25.1 innings and 35 strikeouts both lead the team, with free bases hard to come by, having walked only eight batters all year. Grayson Stewart will go for his fourth win of the season Saturday with Sunday's starter TBA.

As a team, ULM is hitting only .248, with only Zack Floyd hitting above .300.
