Trojans Host Florida A&M Wednesday; First Pitch Moved Up to 4 p.m.

TROY, Ala. – Troy baseball returns to Troy looking to end a four-game losing streak this week as they get set to host Florida A&M in a midweek contest on Wednesday, March 22. The first pitch for the game has been moved up to 4 p.m. to accommodate the Rattlers' travel schedule.
Fans will have the opportunity to purchase special $1 general admission tickets for the game.

The two programs had not met since 2015, when the Rattlers defeated the Trojans 6-0 from Riddle-Pace Field. Florida A&M will look to win its third straight against the Trojans after Troy had won 15 straight in the series from 1999-2014. Overall, the Trojans control the series with a 32-6 record and an 18-2 record at home.
The Trojans will look to get back in the win column as they have dropped four straight games, including their opening Sun Belt Conference series with Georgia State.
Shane Lewis continues to be a home run threat having 11 total on the year, ranking first in the Sun Belt Conference and tied for fourth in the nation. Sullivan sits right behind him as he has nine home runs in 2023, equaling the amount he has hit in his last two seasons combined. Sullivan is third in the Sun Belt and 25th in the nation.
Kole Myers and Hudson Hartsfield are threats on the base paths, as they have yet to be caught stealing this season. Myers is 11 for 11, while Hartsfield is eight for eight. Tremayne Cobb Jr. leads the team in stolen base attempts with 13, and his only been caught twice.
Ethan Kavanagh continues to reach base, having done so in 17 straight games, the longest streak on the team and will look to match the season's high on-base steak of 18 games on Wednesday. Kavanagh is hitting .366 on the season, having played and started all 20 games. His 26 hits are the second most on the team, and he has 18 runs batted in. Among starters, his nine strikeouts are the least on the team.
Troy's pitching will look to have a bounce-back performance after giving up a season-high in both runs (15) and hits (18) to Georgia State over the weekend.
