Troy Football Records Highest-Attended Season in Program History; Sets Revenue Benchmark

TROY, Ala. – Troy Football is winning on the field and in the stands, as the back-to-back Sun Belt Conference Champions set a new attendance record at The Vet in terms of fans in the stands, total season tickets and ticket revenue generated.

Troy home games averaged 26,130 fans, breaking the record set last year, while Troy's total attendance of 182,910 also established a new benchmark. Troy welcomed its 3,000,000th fan to The Vet of the program's Division I era during the Arkansas State game and five of the top 12 attended games in stadium history occurred during the 2023 season.Â

The Trojans defeated in-state rival South Alabama in the annual "Battle for the Belt" in front of 28,212 fans on a Thursday night in what was the largest attended mid-week game in stadium history. All six of Troy's regular season games featured crowds of at least 26,000, with two games topping the 28,000 mark. Additionally, season ticket revenue increased by 27 percent from 2022 to 2023.

Troy students also packed The Vet in record numbers, averaging 4,571 students per game during the Trojans' run to their league-leading eighth Sun Belt Championship.
