DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Alyssa Mercado fired her second consecutive quality round to lead Troy in Monday's second round of the Sun Belt Conference Women's Golf Championship at the LPGA International Hills Course. Mercado sits alone in fourth place individually, while Troy slipped four spots into eighth place as a team.

Mercado carded two birdies on the day and limited her damage to just three bogeys for a 1-over 73. The Trojan freshman picked up birdies on two of the course's four par-3 offerings and played the back nine at 1-under par.

Troy shot 20-over as a team after opening with a 10-over 298 in Sunday's first round; the Trojans are 13 shots off the pace of Georgia Southern entering Tuesday's final round. Top-seeded Coastal Carolina had the low round of the day with a 4-over 292 to climb four spots and to within two shots of the Eagles.

Elizabeth Caldarelli turned in Troy's second-best round of the day with a 5-over 77 that featured birdies on a pair of par-five holes; she is tied for 36^th place overall. ShaeLee Scarberry and Anna Claire Little both shot 7-over on the day with a birdie each; Scarberry is tied for 16^th and Little is tied for 46^th. Bruna Roqueta closed out the day for Troy with an 8-over 80 and finds herself in a tie for 36^th place with Caldarelli at 11-over for the tournament.

Troy will play Tuesday's final round in the final grouping to go off from the 10^th tee along with UT Arlington and ULM; the first group is set to hit the course at 7:45 a.m.
