Koranga, Leggett Earn All-Sun Belt Honors

TROY, Ala. – Felmas Koranga was dubbed a First Team All-Sun Belt selection while Amber Leggett earned Third Team All-Sun Belt honors, the league office announced on Monday.

The Nakuru, Kenya native picks up her second straight First Team All-Sun Belt honor after leading the league in rebounding. The junior also ranks 10th nationally with 312 boards on the season.

Koranga's name can also be found inside the Sun Belt's top-10 in scoring; she ranks ninth, averaging 13.0 points per game. Her 1.3 blocks per game also ranks sixth in the league.

Leggett earns her first nod from the Sun Belt Conference, being tabbed a Third Team All-Sun Belt selection in her first season with the Trojans.

The Navarre, Fla., native ranks second on the team and 12th in the league, averaging 12.3 points per game. Leggett also backs up Koranga on the glass, ranking second on the team and ninth in the league with 7.2 boards per game.Â

The two have combined for 20 double-doubles this season with 14 from Koranga and six from Leggett. Both players have put up these impressive numbers while not ranking in the conference's top-25 of minutes played.

Koranga, Leggett and the Trojans will take to the hardwood on Friday in the quarterfinals of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament. Troy will take on the winner of Arkansas State and Coastal Carolina. Tipoff from Pensacola, Fla., is set for 11:30 a.m.
