Troy Seeks Revenge Over UTA

TROY, Ala. – Following a disappointing loss to Coastal Carolina, 73-63, to end its final road trip, Troy looks to avenge itself over UT Arlington at Trojan Arena with tip-off set for 6 p.m.
The Trojans (18-9, 9-5 SBC) are in a must-win situation for the remainder of the season as they sit third in the Sun Belt Conference standings, 1.5 games behind Texas State.
Dropping the Battle at the Beach
The Trojans felt good coming off a massive victory over the Mountaineers of Appalachian State last Thursday, 67-61, before falling to Coastal after a scoreless final 2:30 of the game.
Entering the second half, Troy held the lead, 66-63, before allowing the Chanticleers to score eight unanswered, 41-36, starting with the second chance make from Rudi Williams just 1:16 into the second.
The Chanticleer lead ballooned to 13 with 6:00 left in the ballgame before Duke Deen nailed two 3-point shots to spark a Trojan run that brought the deficit down to three, 66-63, with 2:56 left.
The final 2:30 saw Troy go ice-cold from the field, allowing Coastal to score seven-straight points to claim the battle at the beach, 73-63.

The last these teams matched up, UTA spoiled the new year for the Trojans, defeating them 62-57.
Troy held control of the game, leading by six with 3:28 remaining before UTA launched a 13-2 run to close out the ballgame.
