Troy Ventures North to take on North Alabama

TROY, Ala. - Troy looks to ride its three-game winning streak up north on Wednesday at the UNA Varsity Tennis Courts when the team faces North Alabama at noon.
Entering Wednesday, the Trojans (3-2) have turned their season around after an 0-2 start, finding themselves above .500.
Three-Straight
Troy won convincingly against Alabama A&M, 6-1, to push their winning streak to three.
Kristina Kukaras / Michelle Ncube opened doubles 6-0 before Chiara Dabrano / Franziska Ahrend clinched the first point, 6-2, to put Troy up 1-0.
Anastasiia Khokhlova / Andrea Widing finished the sweep in doubles competition over Jasmine Boyd / Neha Ghare in close one, winning 6-4.
The Trojans went up 3-0 after Ahrend, and Olivia Elliott dominated their singles match. Elliott took the first singles match, 6-0, 6-2, before Ahrend made quick work of her match, 6-2, 6-1, to put the Trojans just one point from clinching.
Hagar Amin was poised to clinch the match over Neha Ghare. She swept her first set 6-0 over Ghare before taking the win 6-2 and providing Troy's third-straight win.
After Amin clinched the match, Troy went up 6-0 on victories from Kukaras and Ncube before dropping the sweep with an extra set loss, 6-2, 1-6, 8-10, from Khokhlova to wrap up the match, 6-1.
Looking at the Lions
North Alabama searches for its first victory of the season after dropping eight straight to open the spring schedule.
The Lions have accumulated two points throughout the season, with one coming from a forfeit. Juliette Talieu holds the one point coming from play on a 6-2, 6-3 win against Samford.
Talieu holds a team-best 2-7 record overall with her partner in doubles, Sydney Flesch, claiming a victory to stand at 1-12 on the season.
