Troy Searches for Revenge in Hammond

TROY, Ala. – Troy men's basketball returns to action at the University Center against Southeastern Louisiana Saturday afternoon, with tipoff set for 1 p.m.
The Trojans ended a three-game skid last Saturday to claim their first win of December and rise to No. 92 in the NCAA NET rankings – previously ranked 113.
History shows Saturday's meeting will remain competitive, with the Lions (5-6) leading the overall series 2-1 on a three-point average margin of victory.

The Golden Eagles took the early lead, hitting back-to-back 3-pointers in the first minute to hold a 6-0 lead.
Nelson Phillips got Troy started, fighting his way through the defense for the layup. Kieffer Punter and Zay Williams collaborated for the next score after Punter intercepted the pass, which led to Williams on the other end, 6-4, with 18:09 left in the first.
This opened a pivotal 15-0 run for the Trojans that had Troy shoot 6-of-11 from the field and obtain two offensive rebounds and three steals. Troy kept the momentum for the remainder of the ballgame for the 23-point win.
