TROY, Ala. – Hagar Amin, Kristina Kukaras and Valeriia Avdeeva prepare to jump back into action this weekend for Troy women's tennis with the playing of the 34th annual Roberta Alison Fall Classic at the Alabama Tennis Stadium.
Starting at 9 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 28, the Trojans open with doubles competition against East Tennessee State, Indiana, Michigan State, Ole Miss, South Alabama, Stetson, Tulane, Alabama and UAB. Then, Saturday at 9 a.m. Troy resumes action to conclude the two-day tournament in singles.

Troy comes off an impressive ITA Southern Regional that saw three Trojans fight to the round of 32. Amin, Kukaras and Maria Guirguis all walked away unbeaten through the first two days.
Amin dominated in the round of 128 and 64 with 7-6 (4), 6-2, and 6-0, 6-2 victories over Mississippi State and North Alabama, respectively. Kukaras and Guirguis battled through the round of 64 in three sets before all three Trojans fell in the round of 32 in straight sets.
Last season, Andrea Widing led the charge at the 33rd Roberta Alison Fall Classic. In singles, Widing was the only Trojan in the win column over Dolavee Tumthong. The junior lost the first set 2-6 before hammering back in the second to set up the extra set, 6-3. Then, Widing ended on a high note, dominating the extra set 10-2 to secure the win.
