Trojans Look to Keep Win Streak Alive at Arkansas State

TROY, Ala. – Troy volleyball takes a season-high three-game win streak on the road this weekend to Jonesboro, Ark., for a conference clash with Arkansas State beginning on Friday, October 14 at 6 p.m. with the weekend wrapping up at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct, 15. Both matches will be streamed on ESPN+.
The Trojans are coming off a weekend sweep of Marshall in which Julia Brooks led the Trojan offense with 30 kills seeing her pass 1,000 kills in her career. Brooks became the 12th Trojan in program history to accomplish the feat and was later named Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week.
Along with Brooks, Tori Hester has found success this season, helping the Trojan offense. She ranks second in the conference and 23rd in the nation with 4.23 kills per set, and her 296 total kills to put her 13th. In addition, her 336.5 points are 11th in the country.
Amara Anderson is one of three active Sun Belt players to hold their team's career assist record. Anderson has recorded 685 assists this season, putting her 28th. Anderson became the first Trojan setter to amass 5,000 career assists
Troy will be looking for their first-ever win in Jonesboro as they enter 0-11. Arkansas State has had the advantage much of the series as Troy enters the weekend 3-19 all-time against the Red Wolves. The Trojan's last win came in 2019 at the Sun Belt Conference Tournament in San Marcos.
