Troy Women’s Basketball Prepped for Little Rock

TROY, Ala. – The Troy Women's Basketball team's three-game home stand continues on Thursday when the Little Rock Trojans head into Trojan Arena Thursday. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m.

Over the last eight seasons, only two teams have represented the Sun Belt Conference as the league's automatic qualifier into the NCAA Tournament – Troy and Little Rock.

Storylines

In her first game back from COVID protocols, Tina Stephens hit the hardwood with an edge, scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and four assists.
In just 14 minutes of action, Sun Belt rebounding leader Felmas Koranga grabbed 14 boards against ULM.
Troy is currently on a 16-game win streak inside the friendly confines of Trojan Arena; it is the longest streak in school history.
Troy has been without their full roster in five straight matchups; however, the Trojans are 4-1 in those games.
Last season, the Trojans were only outrebounded or tied in rebounds four times through all 25 games. This season, Troy is 4-5 when being outrebounded. Despite having been outrebounded in nine games, as per usual, the Trojans lead the nation in rebounds and offensive rebounds.
Troy is known for playing fast and playing everyone. Of Troy's 14-man roster, all 14 of them have seen playing time after Jelissa Reese saw her first action against ULM after an ACL tear.
The Trojans have won 19 of their last 21 Sun Belt Conference games. Appalachian State and Georgia Southern were the only two teams to defeat the Trojans in conference play last season.
The Trojans physicality has sent them to the charity stripe for 452 attempts this season. Troy leads the nation in both attempts and free throws made with 328.
