ShaeLee Scarberry Named Sun Belt Golfer of the Week

TROY, Ala. – Coming off back-to-back top-four finishes, Troy's ShaeLee Scarberry has been named the Sun Belt Conference Women's Golfer of the Week, the league office announced Thursday.
Scarberry finished second at 2-under par at the Hoover Invite last week and followed that with a tie for fourth at the Sea Best Jacksonville Classic at 2-over par earlier this week. Scarberry carries a 0.44 score vs. par through nine rounds this season.
A junior from Purcell, Okla., Scarberry shot under par in the final two rounds of the Hoover Invite with a 71 and 70 on her card. She leads Troy with three rounds in the red this season and is responsible for three of the Trojans' top four 54-hole scores on the year.
At the Sea Best Jacksonville Classic, Scarberry played all three of her rounds within a stroke of par (including one at even-par) and has played eight of her nine rounds this season within a single shot of par.
Scarberry and the Trojans are back in action Oct. 11-12 at the Lady Red Wolves Classic.
