Game Promotions Set for Football Season Opener

TROY, Ala. – The start of the Troy football season is less than a month away, and The Vet will be rocking with several exciting promotions for the season opener against Southern on Sept. 4. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m., and tickets are still available.
In addition to the normal gameday festivities surrounding a game at The Vet, the opener against Southern will feature several other game-specific promotions.
Ticket Flash Sale
Troy Athletics is having a flash sale through Friday, Aug. 13, to discount reserved tickets in sections 105 and 107 to just $10 for the game against Southern. Standard single-game tickets are just $15 for general admission seating and $24 for reserved seats.
Fans can purchase single-game tickets by visiting TroyTrojans.com/tickets or by calling 877-878-WINS (9467). To take advantage of the flash sale, simply visit TroyTrojans.com/flash and select either section 105 or 107.
Extra Yard for Teachers Appreciation Game
Troy Athletics would like to show its appreciation for local educators by offering specially priced game tickets to all elementary, middle, and high school teachers to attend the game against Southern. All teachers are eligible to purchase a $10 ticket for the game by visiting TroyTrojans.com/Teachers.
Youth Cheer Clinic
The first of two Youth Cheer Clinics will take place before the game against Southern with participants receiving instruction from Troy's national championship cheerleading squad. The clinic is open to all children ages 5-12 and the cost is just $30 for one clinic or $50 if signing up for both clinics – the second clinic is scheduled for Nov. 13 (Louisiana).
In addition to instruction from the Troy Cheerleaders, participants will take part in an in-stadium performance during the game and join the Troy Cheerleaders at Trojan Walk.
A game ticket is required for entry to the stadium; they are available at a discounted rate by visiting TroyTrojans.com/YouthCheerClinic.
Tailgate Terrace Concert Series
Troy's popular Football Tailgate Concert Series returns for the 2021 season with an exciting lineup for each of the Trojans' six home games at The Vet. The free concerts will take place each week in Tailgate Terrace three hours prior to kickoff.
Country duo The Springs is taking the stage on Sept. 4 before the home opener against Southern. The Springs have amassed more than one million streams across platforms, and opening for stars like Florida Georgia Line, Kelly Clarkson, Reba, Little Big Town, Eric Church, Alan Jackson, and many more. They have made regular appearances at CMA Music Festival; charted on the Billboard Country Chart with their latest release, "Old Fashioned," hitting #33; and their albums have landed on top 10 lists on iTunes, Google Play and Amazon Music.
Troy Athletics Letterwinner Day
Letterwinners from all of Troy's athletics programs are encouraged to make their way back to campus for the game, and each former letterwinner will have the opportunity to request up to four (4) complimentary tickets to the football game. Additionally, a pregame tailgate party will be held in Tailgate Terrace from 3-5 p.m. for the returning letterwinners prior to the 6 p.m. kickoff.
The day's activities are all provided at no cost to the returning letterwinners and culminate with a special in-game recognition as the Trojans take on the Jaguars.
