Soccer Announces Complete 2021 Schedule

TROY, Ala. – The Troy soccer program and interim head coach Nicole Waters announced the team's complete 2021 schedule Tuesday morning. The newly released schedule features nine home matches, highlighted by a home contest vs in-state foe, Auburn.
"Our 2021 schedule has been in the works for a while now and I'm excited that we are finally releasing it to the public," Waters said. "We have some exciting home soccer matches scheduled, especially against Auburn and Coastal Carolina. We have a lot of work to do as a team before our first match but we are ready and excited for the challenge."
Following the team's lone exhibition at Alabama State (Aug. 13), the Trojans will officially kickoff their 2021 campaign at home when they host Nicholls State (Aug. 20) and Alabama A&M (Aug. 22) as part of the Troy Tournament.
The Trojans will welcome Auburn back to Troy for the first time since 1997 when the two teams meet on Aug. 26. This will be the first time Troy has hosted a Power-5 opponent at home since Sept. 13, 2017, when they hosted No. 16 Florida State.
Following its three home matches to open the season, Troy will hit the pavement for back-to-back road contests at Jackson State (Sept. 2) and Southern University (Sept. 5). Troy will enjoy a brief stint at home when they host Jacksonville State (Sept. 9) before going on its longest road trip of the season.
The Trojans will begin their road trip at Grambling on Sept. 12 before opening up Sun Belt Conference play at Little Rock (Sept. 17) and at ULM (Sept. 19). Troy will play its first two home Sun Belt matches against Louisiana (Sept. 24) and Texas State (Sept. 26) before traveling to Georgia Southern (Sept. 30) and Georgia State (Oct. 3).
Troy will be back at home for one match against App State (Oct. 7) before its final road trip of the season. The Trojans will once again travel to South Alabama for their annual rivalry battle on Oct. 15.
Troy will close out its regular season with a pair of home matches against Coastal Carolina (Oct. 17) and Arkansas State (Oct. 22). The 2021 Sun Belt Conference Tournament will once again be held in Foley, Ala., and will begin on Nov. 1 and conclude on Nov. 7.
