Harris comes to Troy after three seasons at Louisiana Tech. The Mobile native had a breakout junior campaign in 2020-21 where she averaged 10.0 points and 5.5 rebounds per game, both career-highs. In early December, Harris had a game to remember against the University of Texas where she scored a career-best 25 points on 9-of-11 shooting while also going 6-for-7 from the charity stripe. She followed that performance with eight total double-digit scoring games. Rigby On Harris
"Brianna is a tremendous addition to our roster. Â Her talent and experience will push us closer to our goal of playing a position-less style of basketball She is a scoring threat from the three-point line as well as with her back to the basket. Â She has all the tools, desire, and maturity to be an immediate impact player for us."
Â
Troy is coming off its third Sun Belt Tournament Championship, fourth overall Sun Belt Title, and its third NCAA Tournament appearance under head coach Chanda Rigby. Troy made national headlines in the NCAA Tournament against No. 2 seed Texas A&M when they erased a 16-point deficit to lead the Aggies late in the fourth quarter before narrowly falling to the Aggies by just four points. Troy's 80-points scored was the third-most points scored by a 15 seed in NCAA tournament history.
