Men's Tennis Signs One in late signing period

TROY, Ala. – Troy men's tennis head coach Rolando Vargas announced the signing of Maxime Hillhouse to a National Letter of Intent on Monday. Hillhouse will join the Trojans for the 2021-22 season. Hillhouse will join a Trojan squad that is has posted a 19-3 overall record and a 3-2 record in the Sun Belt Conference.

• He earned a career-high ITF ranking 206 and a UTR ranking of 12.81
• National Champion for the under 16s French Doubles
• Won 15s with his first ITF junior tournament plus several additional doubles titles
• Eight time regional Champion
• 12 tennis Europe doubles titles
• Three tennis Europe singles titles

"We're really excited to have Maxime join our Trojan family. He's not only a great player, but he's also a great person who really fits our culture. He's a tremendous player and has been one of the top juniors in France, making to a few finals matches. He's really hungry to keep improving, so we want to build a strong team every year and he gives us an extra edge in what we want to accomplish for years to come."
Troy's match vs UAB, originally scheduled for Sunday at the Lunsford Tennis Complex, has been canceled. The next time the Trojans will be in action will be at the Sun Belt Complex Tournament which will be play in Peachtree City, Ga. from April23-25.
