Troy Softball Announces 2022 Schedule

TROY, Ala. – Highlighted by home matchups with Ole Miss, Florida State and South Alabama, the Troy Softball team and head coach Beth Mullins announced its 2022 slate Thursday.

Alongside their noteworthy home contests, the Trojans will face the likes of Ohio State, Virginia Tech, South Carolina and Georgia Tech on the road this upcoming season.

In total, Troy will face eight NCAA Tournament teams from last season.

"We are really excited about the schedule we have put together for this season," head coach Beth Mullins said. "It is going to set us up for another berth and run in the NCAA Tournament. Our pre-conference tournaments will really challenge us and prepare us for Sun Belt Conference action."

The Trojans kick off the 2022 campaign playing host to the Trojan Classic, where Troy will welcome College of Charleston, Purdue Fort Wayne and Southern Illinois (Feb. 11-13).

After a midweek tilt with in-state foe UAB (Feb. 16), Nicholls State, Eastern Kentucky and Ole Miss will travel to the Wiregrass for the Troy Invitational (Feb. 18-20).

The Trojans will then hit the road for the Carolina Classic, hosted by South Carolina. Troy will square off against Miami (OH), Ohio State, Virginia Tech and South Carolina to close out the month of February (25-27).

The road swing continues into the month of March when the Trojans travel to Baton Rouge, La. for the LSU Invitational. The two-day invite features doubleheaders against LSU and Louisiana Tech (March 4-5).

Troy kicks off conference action in a three-game series at Coastal Carolina (March 11-13) before returning home for matchups with ULM (March 18-20) and Florida State (March 23).

A three-game series at Georgia Southern (March 25-27) and a midweek doubleheader at Samford (March 30) concludes the second month of the season.

April brings the Trojans back home briefly for a conference series against Georgia State (April 1-3) before hitting the road for a midweek tilt with Georgia Tech (April 5) and a three-game Sun Belt series with the reigning conference champions, Louisiana (April 8-10).

Troy then invites Appalachian State (April 14-16) and UT Arlington (April 29-30) into the Troy Softball Complex for a pair of league matchups.

The Trojans conclude the season with series against two NCAA Tournament teams in Texas State (April 29- May 1) at Bobcat Softball Stadium and South Alabama (May 5-7) at home.

Following the conclusion of the regular season, Troy will head down to South Alabama for the 2022 Sun Belt Conference Tournament (May 10-14).
