Troy Women’s Basketball Returns Home for Middle Tennessee

TROY, Ala. – After another two-game road swing, the Trojans return home for a Saturday afternoon matchup with Middle Tennessee. Tipoff is set for 4 p.m.

The two squads meet for the 22^nd time in this old-fashioned rivalry dating back to the 1992-93 season. The Trojans look to snap a four-game losing skid against the Blue Raiders.

Storylines

Amber Leggett leads the Trojans averaging 13.0 points per contest while Felmas Koranga leads the way on the boards averaging 11.1 rebounds.
The Trojans are currently on a two-game losing skid; however, the Trojans don't typically fall in three games consecutively. The last three-game losing streak for Troy was Dec. 14-21 of 2017.
Felmas Koranga graduated with her degree in psychology on Friday. Eight players on Troy's roster have their bachelor's degree (Jasmine Robinson, Felmas Koranga, Janiah Sandifer, Jhileiya Dunlap, Jada Walton, Tina Stephens, Tiyah Johnson and Brianna Harris).
Troy is currently on a 12-game win streak inside the friendly confines of Trojan Arena; it is the longest streak in school history.
Five Trojans ended the game in double figures against Tulane: Tiyah Johnson (12), Jada Walton (10), Za'Nautica Downs (17), Tina Stephens (14) and Ja'Mia Hollings (10). It marked the first time since March 6, 2021, against Texas State that the Trojans had five players in double figures.
The Trojans are known as a rebounding team. Last season, the Trojans were only outrebounded or tied in rebounds four times through all 25 games. This season, Troy is 1-5 when being outrebounded.
