TROY, Ala. – Troy senior long snapper Cameron Kaye is one of 10 semifinalists for the Patrick Mannelly Award, which is presented annually to the nation's top long snapper.
Kaye, a five-year starter for the Trojans, has amassed more than 500 snaps in his Troy career and has a 99.8 percent success rate on his snaps on field goals, extra points and punts. Earlier this year, Kaye was selected to the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl Big Board, and he is expected to play in several postseason all-star games.
Three finalists will be announced Monday, Nov. 29, and the award will be presented at a special ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 11, in Chicago, Illinois.
Kaye graduated from Troy cum laude with a degree in exercise science in May 2020 and is currently pursuing his master's degree in exercise science.
The Award, named after former NFL long snapper Patrick Mannelly, is presented by Zebra and benefits Bernie's Book Bank, a non-profit that provides books for underserved communities in the Chicago, Illinois area.
